Wine-growers across generations, since 1650, we specialize in the bottling of very old Cognacs made entirely in the Grande Champagne region, the best wine growing area. |
Our vineyards, covering 35 hectares (86.45 acres), are situated in the heart of the Grande Champagne in the villages of Bouteville and Saint-Même-les-Carrières. An eau-de-vie (the fine distilled wine) is produced that is well known for the delicacy of its taste and the bouquet of its eau-de-vie. | Our method of working is traditional. Harvesting is undertaken by hand so to respect the unique quality of our grapes. We take care of the viniferous process in October, while distillation occurs during December and January.
Aging in oak barrels from the forest of the Limousin is essential to ensure that the nobleness that is gives to our Cognacs is maintained. Our aging cellars particularly humid offer our products a smooth flavor and an exceptional mellowness. | We have a significant stock of very old Cognacs thereby allowing us to provide excellent quality as the time goes by.
Our Cognacs received awards at several competitions. | Various specialized publications such as Decanter, Vinum, Feinschmecker, l'Amateur de Bordeaux, la Revue du Vin de France praised the quality of Cognac Paul Giraud.
