Following a coastal road (D145) between Royan and Bordeaux you must stop at this pretty village. Its main attraction is Château de Beaulon. This magnificent estate with a renaissance chateau dated from XV century, superb gardens and the legendary "Blue Fountains" lakes produces unique Cognac and Pineau des Charentes. It is located at the south-west edge of Charente Maritime. |
