| Rixendis of Jarnac was the wife of the Count of Warderade. They lived in the 1st century and around the year 1009, they donated land where the present Abbaye de Bassac now stands. The Cognac Tasting Society has adopted Rixendis as its patron. The objective of Rixendis' Cognac Tasting Society is to taste Cognac which is a product of wine. | ||
